David Ross left the game on Tuesday against the Reds after being hit in the face mask by a foul tip. Today, he was placed on the 7-day concussion DL, according to a report by Carrie Muskat.

This move, combined with the earlier DFA of Joel Peralta, makes room on the roster for Adam Warren, who is starting against the Reds today, and for Tommy La Stella, who returned from the DL and is in the lineup today at third base.
The Cubs will go with Miguel Montero and Willson Contreras as their two catchers through the upcoming all-star break.
