Ever dream of meeting and mingling with former Chicago Cubs stars – including Kerry Wood, Carlos Zambrano, Jerome Walton, Corey Patterson and more – along with former Chicago White Sox stars – including Ozzie Guillen, Magglio Ordonez, Jon Garland, Freddie Garcia and more?
You’re in luck friends because now you can at the third annual Larry A. Pogofsky All-Star Softball Challenge for charity.
The game, presented by Cumulus Radio Chicago, will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Schaumberg Boomers Stadium. All proceeds raised by the event will go directly to benefit the Moyer Foundation and the Ozzie Guillen Foundation.
Tickets for the event start at $20 for a box seat. You can also purchase VIP tickets for $50 which include a postgame BBQ picnic with several of the players and a special gift.
Prior to the game, starting at 12:00 PM (check-in at 11:15 AM), there will be an awesome kids clinic hosted by the Bulls/Sox Academy where kids will have the opportunity to take part in an on-field baseball skills clinic. The clinic includes instruction in batting, fielding, throwing, catching and base running and will be held by the former players in attendance. All kids will have ample time to meet the players, get autographs and participate in the clinic.
A spot in the Kids Clinic can be purchased for an additional $55 per child along with either a box seat or a VIP ticket. Space is limited.
