Joe Maddon spoke to the media at the Winter Meetings Tuesday, and he touched on a number of interesting topics. Among the topics were the importance of building a strong bullpen, whether the Cubs should have a World Series-or-bust mentality as an organization, and whether he might consider trying Kyle Schwarber in the leadoff spot again.
On that latter point, it sounds more like Maddon still believes in the thought process that led to Schwarber leading off, rather than him necessarily planning to try it again.
