Danny Hultzen Officially Added to Roster, Taylor Davis DFA
As first reported by Bleacher Nation Friday night, the Cubs have added left-handed reliever Danny Hultzen to the 40-man roster and have promoted him to the majors. This may well be the best story in the organization this year, as Hultzen, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 draft, has had quite the journey to reach this point.
After eight years, numerous injuries, and probably a fair bit of doubt, Hultzen is finally getting his shot. Here’s to hoping he’s able to make the most of it.

In order to make room on the roster, the Cubs designated catcher Taylor Davis for assignment.
